Threads of time

The cloth of time is knit with the yarn of our stories. What will time be but a voluminous void if we don’t fill it with our noises, sweat, and blood? Time drains us only because it has nothing to feed on but us, yet we who feed it, nourish it, and create it, willingly bend to its yoke!

Du grosses Gestirn! Was wäre dein Glück, wenn nicht hättest, welchen du luchtest? – Nietzsche

We make imaginary lines in our minds, call what’s before them: yesterday; what’s after them: tomorrow; and limit ourselves to the today!
Who are we to cut the continuous line of the present? If these Gods can inflict such injuries, then why do we insist on living in the wounds?
